Informing Treatment Plans

At Cedar Ridge Dental, technology helps us during appointments by giving our team detailed information about your oral health. This plays a vital role in treatment planning and helping to keep dental appointments running smoothly.

With dental technology, we can treat dental issues precisely and accurately. They relay detailed information to our dental team quickly so there are minimal delays when it comes to starting treatment.

The use of dental technology also helps with effective patient communication. Chairside monitors in our treatment rooms allow us to show you your scans so we can point out areas of concern. We can easily walk you through your treatment plan and provide you with important information about caring for your smile.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays produce a complete image of your entire mouth, including the teeth, the upper and lower jaws, the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the sinus structures. Dentists can use this image to help them plan various treatments, such as extractions and implants.

Dental Lasers

Dental lasers are versatile tools that can be used for a range of soft and hard tissue procedures. Dental lasers produce minimal pain for patients while sterilizing the affected area and sealing off blood vessels, minimizing the chance of swelling, bleeding, or infection.

Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions of your mouth. They offer a cleaner and less time-consuming alternative to traditional impressions. Within minutes, the scanner can capture accurate images to create a digital model of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.

Oral Cancer Screening Device

An oral cancer screening device can detect early signs of oral cancer, such as lesions or abnormal tissue growth in the mouth. These devices use technologies like fluorescence imaging or tissue reflectance to identify potential areas of concern.

CEREC Primescan

Using CEREC technology, our dentists can mill crowns, and bridges same-day to help restore your smile as quickly as possible. No messy impressions or temporary restorations are necessary so you can enjoy a complete, functional smile as quickly and conveniently as possible.

GBT Hygiene Technology

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) focuses on the complete removal of dental biofilm (plaque) from all tooth surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. GBT technology utilizes gentle and minimally invasive techniques, such as airflow and ultrasonic instruments, to remove biofilm and deposits without causing damage to the tooth structure. This makes it suitable for patients with sensitive teeth or gums.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

CBCT is a special type of X-ray machine that generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths, and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan. Images obtained with CBCT allow for more precise treatment planning and allow your dentist to analyze your airway for snoring and sleep apnea treatment
